InterOil Guyana Inc was incorporated in 2019 in view of launching the development of Isika Shore Base, on the East Bank of Essequibo river, and 1h drive from Georgetown. This fully integrated services base and port facilities will support all activities in relation with the oil & gas industry in Guyana, from exploration to production, and for all depths (shallow water / deep water / ultra-deep water). The Guyana basin has been the home of some of the largest oil and gas discoveries <https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/The-Biggest-Oil-Gas-Discoveries-Of-2019.html> so far this year, as oil majors continue to strike more oil reserves <https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/Majors-Continue-To-Strike-More-Oil-Offshore-Guyana.html> offshore the South American country.
The development of Isika Shore Base will start early 2020 and will include the creation of a navigation channel for all types of vessels, the creation of a 500m jetty with heavy lifting equipment and approximately 500,000m2 of land development including laydown area, stacking area, warehouses, offices, residential area among others. In addition, Isika Shore Base will be also able to provide:
- Qualified personnel and dedicated equipment
- Operations for Commercial Port
- Handling and management of materials,
- Dedicated areas for Subsea Construction, Fabrication Yard, Assembly and Erection
- Facility for Dry-docking & Ship repair
- Tubulars storage, machine shop & coating
Our vision through this project is to accompany the development of the Guyanese economy and to efficiently facilitate the deployment of resources for the exploration and production companies.
By the end of 2020, with the completion of the first phase of development, we target no less than becoming the best shore base in Guyana.
